Ingredients

(Serves: 1 cup)

1-inch piece of fresh ginger root (peeled and sliced)

1 cup boiling water

½ lemon (sliced or juiced)

A few fresh mint leaves (optional)

1 tsp raw honey or maple syrup (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Ginger : Wash and peel a small piece of fresh ginger root. Slice it thinly to help release its flavor.
  2. Steep in Hot Water : Place the ginger slices into a mug or teapot. Pour boiling water over them.
  3. Let It Brew : Allow the tea to steep for 5–10 minutes, depending on how strong you prefer it.
  4. Add Flavor Boosters : Stir in fresh lemon juice or add a few mint leaves to the top. Add honey or maple syrup if desired.
  5. Strain & Serve : Strain the tea if needed, or enjoy with the ginger pieces. Sip slowly and enjoy the warmth!

Notes

For stronger flavor, simmer the ginger in water for 10–15 minutes before adding extras.

You can reuse the same ginger slices once or twice before discarding.

To make it a fat-burning blend, add a pinch of black pepper or turmeric.

Avoid excessive intake if you have heartburn, acid reflux, or are pregnant.
